COHERD (Centre for One Health, Education, Research & Development), IIPHG (Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar) cordially welcomes you to the forefront of health innovation with the One Health Network – a trailblazing group dedicated to the transformative principles of One Health. OHNI will champion a comprehensive approach that recognizes the profound interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Serving as a dynamic hub, it will unite professionals, experts, and enthusiasts to collectively address global health challenges through holistic and integrated strategies, focusing on key areas like zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, health system strengthening, water sanitation and hygiene, biosecurity, and disease surveillance.

ONE HEALTH

“One Health is the integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems. It recognizes the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment (including ecosystems) are closely linked and inter-dependent. The approach mobilises sectors, disciplines and communities at varying levels of society to work together to foster well-being and tackle threats to health and ecosystems while addressing the collective need for clean water, energy and air, safe and nutritious food, taking action on climate change, and contributing to sustainable development” (OHHELP, 2022).
